Our Family Day Games and BBQ, was on Monday, August 7th, 1:00- 6:00 pm. Click here and read all about the history behind this event that we celebrate each year on British Columbia Day.
It was another fun-filled gorgeous annual Family Day event at the club on Monday, August 7th. Andy introduced a tricky new game to the other games on the greens that tested even the seasoned players, but one which we’re bound to see again at other upcoming special events. The organization of the games, bbq chicken dinner, and playful interaction of everyone in attendance made it a day of good memories. Thanks to everyone who made this annual family day event another success: our dedicated members, family, friends, guests, and volunteers. Here are excerpts of feedback we received about this year’s Family Day:
— I thought it was just great. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, including newcomers and guests.
— The new game was a big hit
— The bbq chicken dinner was delicious. Thanks Linda and the other kitchen people
— I’m glad the day wasn’t hot
— I thought that the event went well. The way the food line up was organized heading into the kitchen by team numbers was a good idea.
— I thought everything went well, could have done with more help setting up the greens in the morning.
— The games were well organized, lots of laughs.
— It was great! The food was good. Enjoyed playing even though we struggled with the new game.
— We had a great time. Andy keeps coming up with these innovative ideas. Chicken dinner was tasty. With the heat the watermelon was perfect. I cannot think of any changes except allowing my team to try all the games twice.
— My wife and I attended Family Day celebration and thought it was just fantastic. Thanks to all the volunteers for the wonderful job.
— Family day was fun. My guests enjoyed it and would like to come back next year.
